Home Here Gallery
Home Here is a gallery exhibition that the class was able to experience, able to take note of each art work that was presented, the room filled with unique and creative art works, it was something that really brought out perspective out of the box with questions and thoughts about the art work that was seen. with the art work seen, I was able to see. Exhibit curated by artists such as Laila Cabera, Isabelle diverged, Jaz Graf, Nicole Demaio, Jin Jung, Tina Maneca, Pat Lay, Jennifer Roberts, Katelyn Halpern, Cheryl R. Riley and more displayed works that meant something to them from pictures and photographs, to a wall filled with objects that holds memories. beyond the objects and work that was seen, each provided a story to connect with other younger artists, sparking a motivation to us young generation.
| COMFORT IS AN ACTION - TINA MANECA |
This art work above is made by Tina Maneca. This work portrays the lifestyle of her childhood, using objects such as a stuffed animal and even quilts and blankets that has shaped her childhood. she used recycled items throughout her lifetime memories. through her strong vision of art through strong visual memories, it helps build a foundation to understand a story about her life, being able to speak with just objects and not words. this is something I deeply connected with as a person who enjoys collecting things from past memories to present, making something out of it that speaks life into my creative side of my life, not only using memories but also times to speak to myself and to other who may relate.
