Act of Resistance Meme:
1. This is the meme I created that felt fitting, it's about the current political climate in the United States right now, though maybe it doesn't directly talk about patrichary, we are also talking about the currouotion of power and the class consciousness that's taking form.
The book "1984" by George Orwell is a book about totalitarianism, the illusion of freedom, a dystopian society that is run by "Big Brother", and within that party, they have violating, unreal, levels of super-surveillance; they control everything the people of that nation see, consume, hear, and even think! Actually, having "Thought Police" and they rewrote history. This book is also where the term "Big Brother is always watching" originated. Why does this apply to today's America? Because we have seen firsthand that the Trump Administration has tried to take out parts of history in the education system, not to mention ban books, and with the files and information given (file-wise), and every company buying another, it's like everything we know and use falls under "The party," our own "big brother". The illusion of freedom that we never had.
2. Patriarchy (in my definition): Is a deadly ideal that is mistaken for truth (for people upholding it); that anything men or male-aligned is first and only above anything else, especially anything women and feminine-aligned.
