Post 8-Samuel Mbila

 The Art of Activisim

1."From San Antonio to Senegal, regardless of the group or issue, it’s remarkable how similar and relatable these ideal worlds are. As diverse as people are, it seems we share some common dreams."

This statement is completely true, as people around the world struggle and hope for better days/peace. Regardless of their individual backgrounds, the concept of hardship and fighting to make a change is universal.

2."Our goals need to encompass our most personal fantasies and our common aspirations. They need to be suffciently broad-reaching to guide our journeys and attractive to others so that they want to join us."

As artists, one's statement/message must be delivered in such a way that draws the masses in. Attracting many people through one's art allows for influence, and subsequently change within a community or society.

Some ideas I have circulating at the moment are creating an interactive digital piece or possibly making a zine of sorts.
